What is the name of this “grammar school” game about a mountain climber of some sort?

It’s been a while and all i can really remember about this game is you played a little man that lived in the mountains and I believe that you searched for jewels of some sort. He wore a brown jacket thing with a hood so you could only really see his nose and mouth. I think you might have had little missions and things that you could find and trade. Does anyone remember playing this game and what it was called?
